  • Adolescence and emerging adulthood can be an exciting yet challenging time. Teens are often faced with new life stressors, including peer and family dynamics, academic pressure, and the complexities of identity exploration. These challenges can contribute to anxiety, depression, substance use, and parent-child conflicts.

My approach is curious, compassionate, and non-judgmental, meeting teens and young adults exactly where they are. I create a safe space for adolescents to freely explore their thoughts, feelings, identity, and relationships while learning healthy coping strategies and emotional regulation skills. My goal is to help teens and emerging adults navigate life stressors, build resilience, and grow authentically in their relationships with themselves and others.

With over 7 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and their families across outpatient, residential, and acute inpatient settings, I am passionate about helping teens manage emotional challenges, strengthen self-confidence, and thrive during this transformative period of life.

  • Finding support as an adult can feel challenging when you’re balancing work, relationships, daily responsibilities, and self-care. Many adults struggle with limited time, overwhelm, self-doubt, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, relationship stress, career challenges, identity questions, or coping with addiction. Therapy can provide a safe, supportive space to gain insight, relief, and strategies for creating a life that aligns with your values.

My approach is primarily psychodynamic, focusing on understanding how past experiences influence your present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—both consciously and subconsciously. By exploring patterns in relationships with yourself and others, you can gain clarity, increase self-awareness, and identify meaningful changes to improve your overall quality of life.

I also integrate evidence-based tools from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help adults:

    • Challenge distorted thought patterns

    • Improve emotional regulation

    • Strengthen interpersonal effectiveness

    • Build resilience in the face of life stressors

During our work together, we’ll collaborate to explore barriers to change, increase tolerance for discomfort, and develop practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges. The goal is to help you feel more empowered, motivated, and confident, with clarity and tools to live a life that reflects your authentic values.

  • Family therapy is a collaborative and supportive process where all members play an active role in creating healthier family dynamics and improving how the family functions as a system. Many families seek therapy to address challenges such as communication breakdowns, ongoing conflict, mental health concerns, and generational patterns of stress or dysfunction.

Grounded in Family Systems Theory, I view individual challenges as interconnected with family dynamics. Symptoms or struggles often reflect patterns within the family and can be passed across generations. Family therapy focuses on helping members understand these patterns and roles, while removing blame and fostering empathy, understanding, and stronger connections.

In therapy, we work collaboratively to:

    • Identify and explore unhelpful family patterns contributing to conflict or stress

    • Support parents as effective leaders within the family system

    • Transform automatic negative interactions into conscious, functional communication

    • Encourage healthy boundaries and differentiation among family members

    • Strengthen overall family cohesion, trust, and resilience

The goal of family therapy is to help families navigate conflict, build healthier communication, and create stronger, more supportive relationships, fostering a home environment where every member feels heard, respected, and valued.

  • It’s common for communication in relationships to break down or shift over time, especially when couples face life’s responsibilities, stressors, and changes. Couples therapy provides a safe, supportive space to reconnect, improve intimacy, and strengthen the bond between partners.

My goal is to help couples navigate life together in a way that feels more connected, secure, and fulfilling. Relationships often mirror early attachment experiences—partners rely on each other for nurturing, attunement, and emotional support. Couples therapy focuses on understanding these needs, fostering authenticity, and building a relationship grounded in empathy and mutual respect.

    Together, we will:

    • Identify unhelpful communication patterns contributing to conflict

    • Explore each partner’s emotional needs and attachment styles

    • Develop strategies for effective communication and conflict resolution

    • Strengthen intimacy, trust, and emotional connection

    • Build a relationship that feels supportive, understanding, and satisfying

Couples therapy helps partners create healthier patterns, deepen understanding, and cultivate a relationship where both individuals feel seen, heard, and valued.

  • LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy provides a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for individuals who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, or other identities within the LGBTQIA+ community. Many LGBTQIA+ individuals face unique challenges, including coming out, navigating identity, coping with discrimination, seeking family acceptance, managing relationship issues, dealing with isolation, and addressing anxiety or depression.

My goal is to help LGBTQIA+ clients explore their authentic selves, build self-acceptance, and develop resilience in the face of societal or personal challenges. Therapy focuses on fostering self-love, empowerment, and emotional well-being, while providing practical tools to navigate relationships, family dynamics, and life stressors.

In sessions, we work collaboratively to:

    • Support identity exploration and self-acceptance

    • Address anxiety, depression, and minority stress

    • Improve self-esteem and confidence

    • Navigate relationships, family, and social dynamics

    • Cultivate a sense of empowerment, safety, and belonging

LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy helps individuals feel seen, validated, and supported, creating a foundation for a healthier, more authentic, and empowered life.

  • EMDR therapy is a structured, evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. Using specific eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain reprocess distressing memories, reducing the intensity of associated emotions and allowing clients to experience relief from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms.

EMDR is a fast and effective alternative to traditional talk therapy, with many clients noticing positive changes after just one session. Beyond trauma and PTSD, EMDR has also been successfully used to treat:

    • Anxiety and panic attacks

    • Depression

    • Grief and loss

    • Addiction

    • Anger and emotional regulation difficulties

    • Phobias and performance anxiety

    • Sleep problems

    • Low self-esteem and feelings of worthlessness

During EMDR sessions, we begin by discussing the memory, feeling, or issue you want to address. I will guide you through eye movement exercises or other bilateral stimulation techniques, allowing your brain to process the memory in a new, less distressing way. This process often feels like focused daydreaming or mindful reflection. We repeat these steps until the memory or experience no longer triggers overwhelming emotions, helping you feel more empowered, calm, and in control.
